Abstracts
L’étude interdisciplinaire basée sur l’histoire politique et anthropologique, l’hagiographie, l’hymnographie et l’iconographie révèle l’histoire complexe de la célébration de la Synaxe de tous les saints de la terre russe, étroitement liée à la naissance et à l’évolution du nationalisme et de l’impérialisme russes. Une attention particulière est consacrée dans cette étude à l’opposition et à la transformation des termes « Rus’ » et « Russie » en tant que concepts sociopolitiques, ethnoculturels et historiques. Le mythe historiographique de la création de cette fête au caractère universel aux xvie et xviie siècles est réfuté. Elle nous apparaît comme une tradition inventée, un simulacre du xxe et du xxie siècle (1918, 1946, 2013) sur fond de bouleversements sociopolitiques en Russie, même si certains éléments tardo-médiévaux ont été utilisés pour sa création. Aujourd’hui cette célébration est devenue pour la société et l’Église russes un moyen d’appropriation culturelle. La comparaison avec les pratiques liturgiques d’autres Églises orthodoxes met en évidence le caractère exclusif de cette fête russe et son incohérence avec la tradition orthodoxe universelle.
This interdisciplinary study combining historical-political and cultural-anthropological approaches, as well as hagiography, hymnography and iconography, reveals the complex history of the celebration of the Synaxis of All Saints of Russia, in close connection with the emergence and development of Russian nationalism and imperialism. Special attention in this study is paid to the opposition and transformation of the terms “Russia” and “Rus” as socio-political, ethnocultural and historical concepts. We refute the historiographical myth that this feast day appeared in the 16th-17th centuries. The celebration appears to us as an invented tradition, a simulacrum, created only in the 20th-21st centuries (1918, 1946, 2013) against a background of socio-political cataclysms in Russia, even if certain late medieval elements were used to create it. Today, this celebration becomes a means of cultural appropriation for the Russian church and society. The comparison with the liturgical practices of other Orthodox churches emphasises the specifically Russian character of this celebration and its inconsistency with the universal Orthodox tradition.
Междисциплинарное исследование, сочетающее историко-политический и культурно-антропологический подходы, а также приемы агиографии, гимнографии и иконографии раскрывает сложную историю празднования Собора всех святых, в земле Российской просиявших, тесно связанной с зарождением и развитием российского национализма и империализма. Особое внимание в исследовании уделено противостоянию и трансформации понятий «Россия» и «Русь» как социально-политических, этнокультурных и исторических концептов. Опровергается историографический миф о появлении этого праздника в xvi-xvii веках как общецерковного. В результате празднование предстает перед нами как вымышленная традиция, симулякр, созданный лишь в xx-xxi веках (1918, 1946, 2013) на фоне общественно-политических потрясений в России, даже если для его создания использовались некоторые позднесредневековые элементы. Сегодня это празднование становится для российской церкви и общества средством апроприации соседних культур. Сравнение с богослужебной практикой других православных Церквей подчеркивает специфически российский характер этого праздника и его несоответствие общеправославной традиции.
