Cet article propose une application de l’analyse du discours multimodale à un petit corpus de nouvelles télévisées de deux chaînes russes représentant un instantané des événements de la fin 2016. Notre objectif est de montrer comment sont traités deux grands titres d’actualité : les accusations faites par les États-Unis selon lesquelles la Russie aurait effectué des attaques informatiques durant la campagne présidentielle américaine, et le rôle joué par la Russie en Syrie après la libération de la ville d’Alep. Nous montrons comment les actualités construisent, d’un côté, l’image d’une Russie victime d’une politique internationale systématiquement hostile et agressive, et d’autre part l’image positive d’une Russie qui joue de nouveau un rôle sur la scène internationale et qui se distinguerait des États-Unis et de leurs alliés occidentaux par son efficacité et son humanité. Nous étudions particulièrement comment le choix du lexique, le jeu de l’intonation, la mise en perspective de l’information, la relation image-commentaires, ou l’utilisation minutieuse de citations et de fragments d’interviews, visent à influencer l’opinion publique selon une rhétorique très bien orchestrée.
In this paper, I propose an application of multimodal discourse analysis to a limited corpus of television news taken from two Russian TV-channels and giving a snapshot view of a few events at the end of 2016. My aim was to analyse the treatment given to two news headlines: the USA’s accusation that Russia committed cyber-attacks during the 2016 presidential campaign, and the role played by Russia in Aleppo after its liberation. I show how the news are constructing on the one hand the image of Russia as a victim of a regularly hostile and aggressive international policy, and, on the other hand the image of a Russia turning to play a role on the international stage and distinguishing itself from the USA and their occidental allies by its efficiency and great humanity. I specially investigate how the choice of the lexical and intonation means, of a particular viewpoint to information, as well as the link between pictures and commentaries, the precise use of quotations and bits of interviews, tend to influence public opinion along the lines of a very well organized rhetoric.
В этой статье мы применяем методы мультимодального анализа дискурса к корпусу выпусков новостей, взятых из российских телеканалов, и представляющих ряд событий конца 2016 года. Наша цель состояла в том, чтобы проанализировать, как были представлены две новости: во-первых, обвинение со стороны США в том, что Россия совершила кибератаки во время американской президентской кампании, и, во-вторых, роль, сыгранная Россией в Алеппо после освобождения города. Мы показываем, как в этих новостях строится с одной стороны, образ России, как жертвы вечно враждебно настроенных международных политиков, а с другой стороны, образ России, снова обретшей влияние на международной арене и отличающейся от западных держав своей эффективностью и гуманностью. Мы в частности изучаем, как выбор лексических и интонационных средств, выбор определенного ракурса в представлении событий также, как и связь между картинками и комментарии к ним, искусное использование цитат и отрывков из интервью, нацелены на оказание определенного воздействия на общественное мнение по чётко выстроенной риторической схеме.
