Abstracts
L’article propose une lecture de la figure de sainte Thérèse de Lisieux telle qu’elle apparaît dans l’essai de Dmitri Mérejkovski et dans la poésie de Zinaïda Guippius. Si l’essai La Petite Thérèse de Mérejkovski constitue une méditation sur la sainteté, et une interprétation de sa vie comme un signe de l’avènement du règne de l’Esprit, dans la poésie de Zinaïda Guippius, la petite Thérèse apparaît à la fois comme la figure de l’Éternel Féminin, l’interlocutrice privilégiée du poète, mais aussi l’incarnation de la simplicité à laquelle elle aspire, une simplicité à la fois esthétique et éthique.
This paper analyses the image of Saint Therese of Lisieux in Merezhkovsky’s essay and in the poems of Zinaida Gippius. Merezhkovsky’s essay Little Therese is a meditation on holiness and an interpretation of the life of Saint Therese as a sign of the advent of the Kingdom of the Spirit, whereas in the poems of Zinaida Gippius, Therese is either an image of the Eternal Feminine, or the poet’s privileged interlocutor, or the symbol of the aesthetic and ethical simplicity that Gippius strived for.
Внося ясность в историю распространения и рецепции В статье анализируется образ святой Терезы Лизьеской, вырисовывающийся в стихах Зинаиды Гиппиус и в эссе Дмитрия Мережковского «Маленькая Тереза». Текст Мережковского – это размышление о святости, истолкование жизни маленькой Терезы как знаменования пришествия Царства Духа. В поэзии Зинаиды Гиппиус маленькая Тереза является то образом Вечно женственного, то любимой собеседницей поэта, то воплощением той поэтической и этической простоты, к которой стремилась Гиппиус.
