La question de la russité surgit pour le héros de L'Exploit comme un désir de s'approprier une part ignorée de son identité en accomplissant un étrange voyage : retourner incognito en Russie afin de renouer avec une origine vécue, jusqu'ici, comme parfaitement secondaire. L'œuvre nabokovienne toute entière fut traversée par un désir nostalgique qui associait en sous-main la question du retour à celle d'une altérité russe dont l'écrivain cosmopolite dut faire malgré lui l'expérience. Le présent article explore l'ambivalence de ce complexe thématique fondamental et se propose de montrer que le rêve de la « Russie présente et absente » franchit dans Ada une étape décisive qui bouleversa l'économie générale de l'inspiration nabokovienne.
The question of «russicity» [Russianness] emerges for the hero of The Exploit as a desire to appropriate an unknown part of his identity through a strange voyage: the return incognito to Russia so as to renew an origin lived until now as a completely secondary exploit. All of Nabokov’s works are characterized by a nostalgic desire which associate covertly a question of return to that of a Russian alternative which the cosmopolitan writer must have experienced despite himself. The present article explores an ambivalence of this fundamental thematic interrelationship and proposes to show that the dream of a Russia both present and absent reaches in Ada a decisive stage thus overturning the general economy of Nabokovian inspiration.
Вопрос «русскости» как желание познать неизведанную часть его эмигрантской личности возникает у героя «Подвига» во время странного путешествия, целью которого является вернуться инкогнито в Россию для того, чтобы возродить свои до сих пор скрытые корни. Все набоковские произведения, несмотря на космополитичность писателя, пронизывает тайное, ностальгическое желание возврата вместе с личным ощущением русской инаковости. Данная статья рассматривает амбивалентность этой набоковской основывающей тематики и стремится продемонстрировать, что мечта о «скрытой и явной России» в «Аде» достигает своей кульминации, вдохновляющей на решительный переворот в творчестве писателя.
