Can philosophy return today to its sources, on the agora where it was born? Within which framework will it maintain itself and which status will it retain – that of theoretical knowledge as a science? Will it be produced as a source of ideologies, or will it become again the tool of communication, making it possible to reach a consensus in public discussions? The ancient trivium, including grammar, rhetoric and dialectics, vanished into the spheres of the various disciplines. Rhetoric migrated from philosophy to the field of philology; this removal has been negative for the fate of philosophy, emphasizing the teaching and the “usage” of philosophy, the acquisition of a nearly scientific knowledge, rather than the argumentative practice. Philosophy was born in Greece in cities-democracies, and its appearance was determined by the form of the democratic organisation of the political life. Civil and political freedom can only be effective in the presence of philosophical soundness, which creates the complex mechanisms for the preservation of the said freedom as the “golden mean” between anarchy and despotism. The essay will review Socrate’s modern philosophy, which aims at approaching the philosophy of the society, at analyzing it while resorting to the realities of the public and political life. We shall speak of the author's radio programs “Philosophical club” and “Philosophical nights” which are broadcasted every week on the largest FM-radio stations and become platforms for philosophical discussions and updating of philosophical heritage.

An attempt to comprehend modern philosophy through the notion of mass-subject and the idea of virtuality. The arising in such circumstances of communication links is determined by how the exchange of information requires the involvement in them of individuals not pretending to mutual understanding. Philosophical emphasis is placed not on identifying the meaning of things or relations between them, but on their condition. The beginning of philosophy, free from mythology and religion, set against the void of primary associations. Its original principles – sincerity and spontaneity (ingenuousness) – cause the transformation of pure consciousness into pure meaning. Basic terms – weight, speed and direction of movement, are available in “grappling” fluid concepts.
