      <link>http://interfas.univ-tlse2.fr/reflexos/2476</link>
This article examines the mediation of the Carnation Revolution in three French left-wing newspapers — L’Humanité, Libération, and Combat — at the time of its outbreak in April 1974. The study, based on a close reading of the articles published during the 1974 French presidential election campaign, shows how each title constructs a distinct discursive regime, in line with its political culture and ideological stance. L’Humanité emphasizes an antifascist and anticolonial interpretation, situating the event within a genealogy of popular struggle. Libération adopts an experiential approach, focused on lived liberation and social creativity. Combat, more analytical and cautious, stresses the political conditions for a stable democratic transition. Altogether, the analysis highlights how a foreign revolutionary event becomes, in the context of the 1974 French presidential election, a space for symbolic projection and an instrument of domestic political mediation. </description>
