This article reviews the major themes and motifs of the detective comic book Bullet to the Head by Matz and Colin Wilson, as well as its transposition to the cinema by the American director Walter Hill in 2013. The analysis shows, on the one hand, that by passing from the comic strip to the cinema screen, the ethics of the characters and the narrative voice undergo a particular transformation in connection with the principle of « actorial figure », on the other hand, that the places and archetypes detectives are reworked according to the intentions of a master filmmaker of action cinema.

The filmic transposition of the homonymous graphic novel 5 is the perfect number by Igort tells a rather classic mafia story in a very original way. The transition from drawing to film highlights the crime story's dimension, as shown by the representation of violence and other aesthetic choices made by the author-director. But this representation also raises a delicate question: that of the ethical issues linked to crime fiction.

The aim of our reflection is to adapt works from the detective genre of comics to the screen. To specify, a filmic trans-writing, Brouillard au pont de Tolbiac, by Joël Séria, released in 1994 from the comic strip by Jacques Tardi, released in 1982, will enhance the work of the filmmaker. After analysing his filmic regime, which will raise the stakes of this transgeneric phenomenon, we will highlight the aesthetic concerns of the filmmaker's crime genre.

In this paper, we want to study the adaptation of the ninth, eleventh and twelfth albums of Hergé's comic book into a Spielberg animated film. On the methodological side, even if they are two different media, analogies can be analyzed given the thematic relationship and the similarity of the analytical tools in the two types of cinema’s and comic’s discourse. We plan to organize this article along three parts in order to highlight the theme of the “polar”.
