In this paper, we want to study the adaptation of the ninth, eleventh and twelfth albums of Hergé's comic book into a Spielberg animated film. On the methodological side, even if they are two different media, analogies can be analyzed given the thematic relationship and the similarity of the analytical tools in the two types of cinema’s and comic’s discourse. We plan to organize this article along three parts in order to highlight the theme of the “polar”.

The filmic transposition of the homonymous graphic novel 5 is the perfect number by Igort tells a rather classic mafia story in a very original way. The transition from drawing to film highlights the crime story's dimension, as shown by the representation of violence and other aesthetic choices made by the author-director. But this representation also raises a delicate question: that of the ethical issues linked to crime fiction.

This article focuses on reading and books in Hollywood film Pleasantville (1998) directed by Gary Ross. Analysing this film from the perspective of response and fictional world theories, it aims to think the connections between cinema and literature and to question the book as a device in the cinematographic context. We notice that, in Pleasantville, books are privileged to underline the intermingling of real and fictional worlds, together with the chromatic heterogeneity that characterise the film, and signify their transformation, as we as the readers’ transformation, particularly of one ‘metaleptic reader’ character.
