L’Artiste use de ses mains pour tricher et manipuler les cartes ; le Narrateur se sert de la parole pour vivre sans plafond. Encore les deux amis, en corrigeant le hasard, sauvaient-ils quelques instants de vie. La quête intérieure est laissée en suspens comme les cartes à jouer ; preuve que le vrai mystère, celui de l’être, est mis en jeu, en cartes, mais pour jouer.        In their search of identity, the Narrator and the Artiste punctually give the impression to be able to serve as reference marks in the card game. The Artiste uses his hands to cheat and manipulate the cards; the Narrator makes use of the word to live without ceiling. Still both friends, by correcting the chance, saved some moments of life.
