      <link>http://interfas.univ-tlse2.fr/nacelles/2006</link>
Postal transport has conquered all the areas available for the circulation of information. In the 20th century, airspace constituted a new El Dorado of services and speed that postal operators explored in most Western countries in partnership with the aeronautical industry. The first born, the plane established itself as a means of communication with a long range of action to support the demand for globalized mail. Almost in its wake, the rocket, particularly its first developments inspired by ballistics and military technologies, gave rise to the mirage of the transport of letters, both domestic and transnational, at a very high speed. In France, the “postal rocket” moment emerges from technological collaborations between Posts and Telecommunications within the ministry of PTT. It lasted only a few years at the start of the 1960s, before disappearing, for its internal borders and its European extensions, facing the impossible additional financial costs required. </description>
