      <title>Le programme d’avion franco-italien ATR, succès et défis d’une coopération aéronautique binationale</title>
      <link>http://interfas.univ-tlse2.fr/nacelles/1540</link>
Founded on a bi-national basis between Italy and France and with an original joint venture (an Economic Interest Grouping), the ATR bi-turboprop aircraft programme, launched in 1981, makes the Italian aeronautical industry a major industrial partner alongside France for the production of civil transport aircraft. Its industrial organisation is deployed mainly in the south-western part of France and in the Italian region of Campania, but generates more marked industrial spin-offs for the French part from the consortium's Toulouse headquarters. ATR has become the world leader in the construction of propeller aircraft for regional transport with a strong market base in developing countries. It is now faced with the challenges of innovation linked to &quot;decarbonised&quot; aviation and with an adaptation of its corporate governance. </description>
