Mais en faisant le point sur l’histoire horlogère de la région, ils soulignent les liens tissés entre les acteurs de ce domaine industriel (fabricants et organismes de contrôle) et les constructeurs d’avion, ouvrant de belles perspectives de recherches. L’ouverture d’Aeroscopia à Blagnac en 2015 atteste la volonté de conserver et valoriser auprès du plus grand nombre un ensemble patrimonial riche mais souvent méconnu, dispersé et encore trop peu diffusé. Cette contribution se propose de dresser un état des lieux du processus de patrimonialisation et des enjeux à venir à l’heure où Aeroscopia rejoint les équipements culturels de la Cité de l’espace et de l’Envol des pionniers au sein d’une métropole toulousaine qui valorise clairement ses spécificités culturelles scientifiques, aéronautiques et spatiales. Industrial heritage, a recent field of investigation for Toulouse aeronautical history, is one of the key elements to understand the construction of regional identity. The opening of Aeroscopia in Blagnac in 2015 demonstrates the will to conserve and promote a rich, complex, but often little-known and scattered heritage to a wider audience.
