      <link>http://interfas.univ-tlse2.fr/nacelles/1472</link>
Airbus is, along with Arianespace, an emblem of effective industrial cooperation, especially in advanced technologies, which has made it possible to challenge the American domination of the civil aviation market by creating from scratch an efficient system of integrated transnational production. In fact, we are going to ask in what proportions Airbus, which is indeed representative of a great success in the transnational field, owes it to the application of a fully-fledged Community method. For this, we will study here the political and economic context, both at the level of the nations and that of the Community, in which the project has germinated and how it was carried out until the establishment of the consortium in 1970. The article will therefore not focus on Airbus itself but on national, European and international factors which made its existence possible. </description>
