L’articolo analizza i rapporti e il legame tra Alberto Moravia e la prima serie della rivista (1953-1964) nel tentativo di comprendere cosa spinga il romanziere a cercare luoghi d’espressione al di fuori della letteratura tout court; come Alberto Moravia definisca la sua attività intellettuale e come nasca nello scrittore la necessità di un impegno e di un intervento critico sulla realtà. The idea is to create a left wing magazine that has an interest for the Italian political and cultural reality and deals with new arguments, since the end of the Second World War. The first volume appears in march 1953 and opens with an investigation on art and communism.
