Conseguenza di una crisi sociale ed economica che si manifesta anche con un invecchiamento della popolazione, il mestiere di badante è all’origine di una nuova crisi. La sindrome italiana è il nome di una patologia nata dalla solitudine, l’allontanamento dalla famiglia e dal paese d’origine, la perdita di punti di riferimento. Il teatro italiano contemporaneo, attento ai cambiamenti della società, ha messo in scena questo fenomeno. Attraverso l’analisi della figura della badante, in alcune pièces di Serena Dandini, Lucia Calamaro e Tiziano Scarpa, si cercherà di mettere in evidenza come la scena si fa portavoce politica di un moderno problema sociale. Contemporary Italian theater, attentive to changes in society, has staged this phenomenon.
