Soffermandosi in particolare sulla reinterpretazione che ne dà Guillaume Tardif (1492), si intende delineare le problematiche di trasmissione del testo da un contesto linguistico all’altro. Benché Tardif abbia il merito di aver introdotto nella lingua francese il termine «facécie», bisognerà attendere, tuttavia, il maggior interprete francese della facetudo umanistica, Bonaventure Des Périers, che attraverso le Nouvelles récréations et joyeux devis restituisce, nel contenuto e nella forma, lo spirito burlesco che animava le Facetiae. This article aims to highlight the influence and the dissemination experienced by Poggio Bracciolini’s Liber facetiarum in the French literature and culture between the 15th and the 16th centuries. Along these lines, I want to reflect on the free-style reinterpretation of the Facéties made by Guillaume Tardif (1492). Through this translation, we will be able to consider the problems of disseminating and receiving a text from one linguistic context to another.
