      <title>Le gai traduire.
      <link>http://interfas.univ-tlse2.fr/lamaindethot/585</link>
Why, and how, should we translate collectively, in a university, a theatrical play, at a table or in a rehearsal room? How may a constantly modified textual material be elaborated, adapted, recreated during the process? Founded in 2012 at the University of Paris 8, La Langue du bourricot (literally The Donkey’s Tongue) aims at exploring the complexity of collective translation. Comprising current and former students and a coordinator, the collective carries out a project each year: the translation of a contemporary play, allowing the renewal of the French approach to the Italian stage. After four years of activity, the coordinator retraces here the experience of the collective, examining its emergence, its composition, its modus operandi, and the role of theatrical practice to move progressively towards the emergence of one voice: a collective voice. </description>
