“Better Shpet, than never”. Yury Tynyanov and Shpet

The contradiction between Russian formalists and Shpet were the discussions within the unique cognitive system and unique culture. Tynyanov as well as Shklovsky was against the philosophical reflection of literary texts. Still Tynyanov’s novels give a rich food for philosophical interpretation. “In common the personality of the author appears as the analogon of the word”. This hyperbolic statement of Shpet shows the way of the scientific study of the artistic methods in coordination with the investigation of the typology of author’s personalities.
